Above is a picture of our "summer home". The top picture is of the caravan taken on the driveway outside our house. The second picture is the Volo car which pulls the van.

I will be taking some photos of the van at the shows.

We go to most of the major Championship Shows during the summer and stay for the duration of the show - usually 2/6 days. Nearly all shows make provision for caravans. When we first started there were only a few but now there can be over one hundred caravans, motor caravans and tents. All sites are controlled by a warden . Despite the presence of hundreds of dogs the sites are always very quiet at night, daytime can be a little noisy but we are old hands and always park well away from the known less well behaved groups.

All our dogs come with us, the most we have had was 15 but 8 or less is much easier. They travel in the car and sleep in the van. We have converted the rear beds of the caravan into kennels . We can accomodate eight shelties here with ease. There are three kennels (one is hidden on the left hand side of the picture) - they have ample room to stand up or lay down fully stretched. They love their kennels - they can see all that is going on.

The caravan has an awning which we can erect but the van is designed so that the dogs can be kept inside the van if necessary.

We have severall friends with caravans, we all meet up at the shows and during non show days visit the various place of interest in the surrounding countryside.
